In-Home Newborn Session

There’s something so cozy about photographing a family in their own space. The nursery alone told so much of the story — a blush pink ceiling, soft watercolor dot wallpaper, a crocheted blanket draped over the glider in pastel pink and green, and a little white crib lined with stuffed bunnies. The whole room felt like it had been waiting for her. Everyone is comfortable in their own home, and it’s so much easier to get those real personalities to come out.

This family is especially close to my heart. Her mom is an old work friend of mine — her oldest daughter and my son are only two weeks apart, so we were pregnant together that first time and bonded over it in the way only fellow new moms can. They have been through so much when it comes to growing their family, and being able to photograph them for their new baby girls arrival was such an honor.
